Compatibility

DE-25 is compatible with most elastomeric seals and industrial topcoat paints.

Instructions for use

Substitute 5 to 10% of the current lubricant with the same volume of DE-25. Allow the equipment to operate (see table below for operating time based on temperatures and concentration level). It is recommended to change the oil filter before and after using DE-25.

Some filters are equipped with pressure drop gauges; normally, a 10 psi loss indicates that the filter needs to be replaced.

Once the contact time has elapsed, allow the equipment to cool to 60°C (140°F) for the most effective draining.

After draining, operate the equipment with clean oil of the recommended viscosity; fill the equipment to the required level and allow to bubble or circulate.

For equipment such as gearboxes, allow to operate until maximum speed has been reached. For compressors, it is recommended not to circulate for more than one hour.

Notes

New oil will last much longer in a clean system with a low TAN ("Total Acid Number"). Whenever possible, take a TAN reading with the oil used to flush the equipment. The TAN result should be less than 0.5 mg KOH/gram of sample.

DE-25 is not a lubricant in itself. It must be mixed with the lubricant present in the equipment.

Description

DE-25 is a decontaminant with a concentrated formula, designed to chemically clean industrial equipment such as gearboxes, compressors, hydraulic systems, etc.

Features and Benefits

DE-25 deeply cleans, dislodges varnish accumulations stuck on metal parts, dissolves and disperses sludge and carbon formations generated by the failure of oxidized oils.

It is completely soluble in conventional mineral oils as well as in hydrocarbon-based synthetic oils such as PAO, ester, or diesters.

DE-25 cleans equipment while it is running, which significantly reduces the downtime required for cleaning. Equipment downtime is thus reduced to the time it takes to drain and refill with new lubricant.

Safe for the user: mild odor, high flash point, contains no heavy metals or chlorinated solvents.
